Almost a month and I haven't posted -- really much too long. But it's been an overly full month -- family stuff, writing stuff, last minute editing stuff, and just stuff-stuff. There have been times this year when with everything that has been on my plate, I thought I should just close it down and take a sabbatical. But I miss blogging...so there it is. I'll be working my way back to it...though it may still be a bit patchy for the next three months (travel, the end of my mother's chemo and radiation, more writing deadlines, and ....more stuff as always.)
In the meantime, thanks to those of you who have been patient and to those of you wrote wondering if I was all right.
*Random photo above of me in the blue anorak at the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro in 1968....long story really. The one below is of my brother and I after we arrived home to Dar es Salaam, after 12 hours by African bus. We are wearing our wreaths of everlasting flowers that the guides give you if you make the summit -- and you can that some 40 years later, my wreath is a bit faded, but not bad for such a venerable award.
