So my brother is an architect and for many, many years we have teased him about his slavish attention to details (I still don't know what a cornice is...) and impeccable good taste. But let's face it, being perfectly appointed is a burden -- a burden understood by the hilariously wry (I know a bit of a contradiction) folks over at Unhappy Hipsters (subtitled "It's lonely in the Modern World"). Here you will find stylized photos of perfect settings inhabited by nervous people, accessories that potentially confuse or terrify, states of anxiety in serene settings. Each photo comes with a caption that together creates an illustrated existential flash-fiction novel. Go and visit.
